Agriliance was founded by its partners, JC Carroll and Ben Tillman, in 2018. Agriliance has a combined experience in the crop insurance industry of over 15 years and we pride ourselves on our knowledge of the industry and providing our growers with the best available risk management plan as it pertains to each individual farm. We started our company with the vision to bring all financial sectors of a farming operation together because we believe the only way to make the correct risk management decision is to have a complete understanding of the farming operation as a whole. We have formed alliances with loan institutions, brokerage institutions, end users such as gins and grain elevators, that will be accessible resources to you as a client of Agriliance and will allow us to make the best risk management decision for your operation.
Providing this level of detail in considering a risk management plan will give farmers insight to the profitability and stability of the farm. As a company we specialize in all types of crop insurance plans including but not limited to, row crops, specialty crops, hay and pasture, tree nuts, nursery, etc. The company is founded on the principals of hard work, integrity, and a passion to help growers implement a sound risk management plan for their operation. We like to do business on your farm and we are committed to providing excellent customer service throughout the planning and growing seasons. Agriliance employees go to work every day for the farmer and it is our goal to add value to every operation we have the privilege to work with.
J.C. Carroll was born in Gaffney, South Carolina and still has family there on a small farm just out of town. Like most South Carolinians, JC has always been surrounded by agriculture. His mother’s side of his family owed a small farm in Newberry, SC and his fathers side sold farm equipment in Florence, SC. JC received his BS at West Virginia University in 1998. After college, he worked in the investment management industry at Morgan Stanley. It was at Morgan Stanley that he was first introduced to the commodity market. In 2010, JC started as an Agricultural Risk Consultant and for the past eight years JC has studied the crop insurance program administered through the RMA at the USDA and FSA programs.
At Agriliance, he combines the knowledge that he acquired in the financial sector with his agricultural background and apply that to protecting his farmers while maximizing the farms profitably.
JC lives in Greenville, South Carolina with his wife of 14 years Tara, their three daughters Amelia (7), Reese (4), Natalie (4) and their son Mac (2). As you can imagine, JC spends most of his time chasing children. He enjoys taking his girls to the lake and watching them go but his favorite thing to do is taking his son on a tractor ride.
Ben Tillman grew up in the small town of Cheraw, SC and attended college at Clemson University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Statistics with an emphasis in Agribusiness and completed a minor in Animal Veterinary Science.

Kaylea Cole grew up in Oregon and moved to the southeast as a teenager. She graduated from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC in 2012. She learned about agriculture at a young age as her grandmother was a corn and soybean farmer in Illinois. Her family still owns the farm today. Kaylea began her career in insurance in 2012 working on the P&C side, transitioning into crop insurance two years later. She has experience working for both an agency and an AIP, including underwriting MPCI policies for two and half years. This provides Agriliance with a unique advantage in the implementation and accuracy of writing and servicing crop policies.
Kaylea currently resides in Charlotte, NC, but likes to travel as much as possible. You might find Kaylea and her twin sister on the golf course as they have played competitively since the age of 9, including winning three State Championships in Lexington, SC. She also enjoys hiking, live music, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
